ENTYVIO - PATIENT SELF-INJECTION FILM

CONCEPT / WRITING

CHALLENGE

Entyvio is a medicine that’s used to treat ulcerative colitis and Crohn's disease. These conditions usually require a lot of trips to the GP. With the launch of a self-injection pen, patients can now administer the medicine themselves, avoiding the need to make constant trips to the doctor. We needed a way to reassure patients that they can do this, and it’s not as scary as it seems.

INSIGHT

Patients with these conditions would love to have control of their condition and their life, They are however anxious at the thought of self-medicating.

IDEA

It was vital to show that patients feel that they have all the support they need, that they are not alone just because they’re not with a GP - even though they might be self-injecting for the first time. To reflect this, we moved away from the clinical cliche that so many healthcare films confirm to..

From the outset this needed to be an instructional film. It also needed to show the patient journey and champion the Entyvio brand. So we created a story to bookend the functional content to engage the audience emotionally and create empathy for our heroine.

This film was created to reassure and empower those patients to take control of their illness and elevate any nervousness they had about the process of self-injection.
